Bohol Stay - Ideal # of days...

Hello, I am planning a trip to Bohol next month, around February 16. I was wondering if 3, 4, or 5 days would sufficient for all the things I wanted to do: Countryside Tour, Loboc River Cruise, Tarsier Sanctuary, Chocolate Hills, Dolphin Watching, Snorkeling, Hinagdanan Cave, Waterfalls area, and the Beach.

I welcome your input...thanks!

Bohol Stay - Ideal # of days...

Hello,

4d/3n would be sufficient. To help you plan out your itinerary in Bohol, here%26#39;s what we did during our last 4d/3n visit:

DAY ONE: Prior to arrival, we contacted a local car service to fetch us from the airport upon arrival from a Philippine Airlines flight (9AM) and did the Countryside Tour (Blood Compact Site, Baclayon Church, Loboc River Cruise with buffet lunch, Tarsier encounter, Bilar Manmade Forest (Mahogany Trees), Chocolate Hills, Hangging Bridge). The actual site of the Blood Compact is several meters away from the current monument and has a Marker (see picture in my profile pictures) to indicate it. At the Hanging Bridge, you%26#39;ll feel like Indiana Jones. At the view deck/peak of the Chocolate Hills, request a professional photographer to take shots of you jumping over (a Chocolate Hill)and riding a broom (like a witch) at the top of the view peak (you%26#39;ll know what I mean when you see the kind of pictures taken by professional photographers there). You can give him a few pesos (P50) for his assistance. There%26#39;s also a wishing bell at the view deck.

Spent 1800php for the car service, 300php per person for the river cruise lunch, 25php per person entrance to Chocolate Hills, 20php ';donation'; to have pictures taken with a Tarsier perching on the arms, shoulders and heads(!). Tour ends at 5 or 6pm and driven to chosen Alona Beach resort/accommodation. Buy your souvenirs at Tarsier site or Hanging Bridge (tarsier keychains, magnets, cellfonebags) and Loboc River (for unique t-shirt designs compared to the ones at Hinagdanan cave) - Don%26#39;t forget to haggle(!).

DAY TWO: AM - at Alona Beach (best swimming spot would be at the leftmost side of the beach with its fine ';white'; sand). be wary of spike starfishes; PM - went to Hinagdanan Cave (15/person entrance), Panglao Church, Dauis Church (there%26#39;s a ';Well'; under the church altar which is said to have ';healing'; waters, have a plastic bottle ready and you can ask the church caretakers to take some from the well for you) and had a great organic meal @ Bohol Bee Farm @ sunset, spent about 800php for the car service. Bohol Bee Farm offers free tours until 5pm.

DAY THREE: Dolphin %26amp; WhaleWatching with Balicasag Island tour - early wake up for 6am dolphin watching (had 5 spottings) and by 8am snorkling (large variety of fish than in Boracay or Puerto Galera - bring an underwater camera) at Balicasag Island Marine Sanctuary. Had early lunch on the island. Spent about 1300php for the boat (others offered 1500php up), plus 150php/person for the banca for the snorkling (we haggled from original 200php/per person. TIP: bring your own gear, they charge 150 to 200 per mask), 700 for the seafood meal for 4 of grilled parrot fish, grilled squid and sinigang na lapu-lapu, plus rice %26amp; 1.5 liter softdrink.

Day FOUR: AM flight.

Not to be missed - Mag-aso Falls (can be part of Countryside tour, at additional charge because of distance -45minutes from Panglao. You can also include Hinagdanan Cave %26amp; Bohol Bee Farm in the Countryside Tour). The steps to Mag-Aso Falls are steep %26amp; tiring (going back up, that is) but worth the view and the dip. Entrance is 15 pesos. Also check out the nighttime firefly cruise in Loay River.

Hope this helps,
