Bohol Trip Advise Please

Hi,

We%26#39;re looking to go to Bohol on the first week of March.

Can we just arrange our tour when we get there or is it advisable to arrange it in advance?

We%26#39;re looking to stay for 3D/2N. Is this enough time?

Where%26#39;s the best place to stay?

Thanks

hi tmpmb,

I used to travel everywhere, but its really of great advantage if you let a travel coordinator do the arrangements for a stress free vacation.Regarding your querries, i highly recommend somebody who lives in Tagbilaran to arrange your countryside tour there in Bohol. Her name is Miss Lilete. you can contact her thru her email add or her cellphone 09173042385 0r email her at lpgacera@yahoo.com.

She%26#39;s really great and very accomodating. my friends were there and they really enjoyed their vacation and they were satisfied by the services of Miss Lilette.She%26#39;ll answer your queries promptly.

Try her! have a nice day

Hi tmpmb,

I sent you a private message about Bohol. Please check it out for info.

Cheers

Hi,

To make the most of your 3d/2n stay (and for your peace of mind/stress-free vacation), I suggest you arrange the tours in advance. Best place to stay would depend on whether you intend to do a dolphin tour or not. If yes, stay along resorts in Alona Beach for convenience for the A.M. dolphin tour (early departure 5-6 a.m.). If not, you can stay at the pension inns in Tagbilaran City.

Suggested itinerary:

1st day - A.M. arrival %26amp; whole day Countryside Tour (Blood Compact Monument, Baclayon Church %26amp; Museum, Loboc River Cruise with buffet lunch, Hanging Bridge, Bilar manmade forest, Tarsier encounter, Chocolate Hills). You may include in your itinerary (at an additional cost Hinagdanan Cave %26amp; Bohol Bee Farm (for sunset dinner, preferably).

2nd day - A.M. half day Dolphin %26amp; Whalewatching tour with Balicasag Island. P.M. Mag-Aso Falls %26amp; nighttime firefly cruise along Loay River.

3rd day - swimming along Alona Beach, at leisure til departure.

Hope this helps..

Thank you guys for all the replies...

@hibj08

That itinerary looks good. Yes, we plan on doing the dolphin/whale watching tour.

Can we squeeze in a snorkeling time in our 2nd day?

Thanks again...

%26gt; Can we squeeze in a snorkeling time in our 2nd day? - Yes. Actually, after the Dolphin%26amp;Whalewatching (which can last up to 3 hrs.), the boatman will ask you if you want to go snorkling at Balicasag Island Marine Sanctuary. He%26#39;ll get you a smaller non-motorized boat that can pass thru the shallow waters of marine sanctuary. That%26#39;s a separate charge of 150pesos/pax payable to the boatman of the smaller boat. Bring your own gear as the boatmen charges 150-200pesos/mask for use of their mask. After snorkling, you can have an early lunch at Balicasag Island (at your expense). The boat you use for the dolphin%26amp;whalewatching will be docked on the island and wait for you.

Hope this helps...

The information others have provided is accurate.

Look up %26#39;Bohol attractions%26#39; and %26#39;Balicasag Island%26#39; on TripAdvisor: myself and others who have done these tours have submitted reviews.

Be aware that some guides will take you to more attractions on the Bohol countryside (Chocolate Hills) tour than others.

For instance, while I only visited the small compound that has tarsiers, there is a nearby sanctuary that is apparently better.

Just got back from the Philippines. Bohol was part of our itinerary. We did a 3 day 2 night trip there as well. The first day we got there, we did a city tour of Bohol including chocolate hills. 2nd day (first and last full day there) we did island hopping. It%26#39;s so beautiful, one of the most diverse coral reefs I%26#39;ve seen (it%26#39;s balicasag island and virgin island which is a sandbar), last day was city tour of Panglao then off to the pier/airport. I arranged a tour in advance with a local guide. I highly recommend him. Let me know if you want his info.

and yes, we were able to do dolphin watching the second day before we head to snorkeling. one of my best days in the philippines
