Diving in Davao

I am planning to visit Davai in April and would like to spend a few days divinf around Talicud Island. Would prefer to stay somewhere near the city so that I have a choice of eating and to see a bit of the place. Can anayone reccomend a suitable hotel and dive fascility in Davao, have tried to contact Davao Scuba several times but cannot get any response.

Everytime I go to Davao, I dive with the Carabao Dive Center. These guys are excellent. You may contact them at +63-82-3001092. I%26#39;m scheduled to be in Davao also from mid-March to early-April. Wouldn%26#39;t miss the chance to dive with CDC again.

As for downtown hotels, here are some of possible choices:

By taxi cab, it won%26#39;t take you more than 10 minutes from any of the downtown hotels to the CDC dive shop.

Diving in davao is great. Depending on you budget, the last reply you got was pretty good. i have to recommend have some grilled seafood and the coldest beer in the world at barbecue boss! you wont regret it. A very nice group of divers i always go with are very fun to be with. dive during the day and party hard at night. Consider Drifters Apartel and British Pub. You can check out the reviews on this forum. It is around 1400 pesos a night and excellent service. It is a ten minute taxi to nearly all parts of Davao and safe.

The owner there can put you in contact with an ex-pat who is well versed in the diving community in Davao. He runs his own dives as well as a really decent European resto downtown. He is a top-notch guy and can help you organize all things diving and Davao. His name is Hennie.

diving in davao?? oh please don%26#39;t go with carabao divers.... I hired their diving services when I and my friends went to Davao last December...

yes they are friendly BUT liars..... no pictures underwater were given to us then the refund.... they were asking for our bank accounts but until now no refunds from them.... also the underwater pictures during the dive..... all lies.. until now we don%26#39;t have those.... and kept on telling us that they will send us....i was really disappointed... I%26#39;m not recommending them
