from dumaguete to bacolod

hi! my family is set to go to bacolod this april. they are coming from manila, while me on the other hand is coming from cebu. i%26#39;m taking oceanjet from cebu to dumaguete because i read that it%26#39;s the fastest and more convenient way. how do i get to bacolod from dumaguete? can anyone help? And can you be specific because i%26#39;m travelling alone. your help is most appreciated.

You did not say what part of Cebu you will be coming from.

The fastest way from Cebu City to Bacolod is from Toledo,Cebu to San Carlos,Negros then straight over the mountain to Bacolod.

From Cebu City, if driving, go south to NAGA and cross over the mountain to Toledo. Lite Shipping RORO ferry makes three trips per day.

The Ceres bus from South Terminal Cebu City takes the same route as above. Take the bus that goes direct to Bacolod.

If you are close to the south of end of Cebu Island you can cross over to Dumaguete from Santander/Liloan. If you are in the north end of the Island you can cross over from Tabuelan,Cebu to Escalante,Negros.

All 3 ways have passenger and RORO ferrys.

BTW if you take the bus from Cebu City it is about a 7 hour ride. If the Ocean Jet from CC it will take at least 12 hours.

You could also fly from the Cebu City/Mactan Airport to Bacolod for maybe P2000. Time including waiting time at departure would be about 3hrs. Flying time is about 35 minutes. Cebu Pacific Airline is usually the cheapest. There is also Philippine Airlines/Air Philippines.
