Kalibo

Can anyone recommend places to see in and around Kalibo? I will be spending a few days there with family friends before going to Boracay.

Kalibo

* Museo it Akean %26gt; Exhibition of Aklans cultural heritage and Aklanon artists

* 17 ha Bakhawan Eco-Tourism Park %26gt; Mangrove reforestation project (Boat rides are offered or a walk through the mangroves)

* Pina Village %26gt; not far from Bakhawan Eco-Tourism Park you can watch the creation of Pina cloth, also called Pineapple or Pine cloth.

* Sampaguita Gardens Resort, about 15 Minutes from Kalibo %26gt; Take a look at the Butterfly farm and Aquarium or the Samuel J. Butcher Mansion. There you can see antique collections and an exhibition of his Precious Moments Designs.

* Trip to Jawili Waterfalls, about 30 km from Kalibo, there are 7 pools with fresh spring water. Jawili Beach is also not far from it.
