Beachcomber Inn or Jony's Resort?

I%26#39;m hesitating between these 2 hotels so I would like to have some honest opinions from my fellow tripadvisors.

Which one is nicer in terms of the quality of rooms, the location (meaning distance from the beach and noise), breakfast, and service.

Also, do both have private lounges/cabanas along the beach?

Beachcomber Inn or Jony's Resort?

Beachcomber Resort and Jony%26#39;s.. are steps away from each other. They are the only two resorts in that area where Station 1 begins.

In comparison of the two:

BEACHCOMBER RESORT:

-11 Rooms/Superior %26amp; Deluxe.. Ground Floor with private sitting area(patio)outside each

room. Family %26amp; Honeymoon Suites..2nd %26amp; 3rd Floor with verandah and view of the ocean.

-Roof top deck(with magnificent view of the ocean).

-Swimming pool

-Beachcomber Spa-(small %26amp; cozy native style) across their hotel facing the beach.

-Family owned and opened just 3 years ago.

*****************************************************

JONY%26#39;S RESORT:

-20+ Rooms/Regular Superior %26amp; Deluxe..Ground floor, some rooms on 2nd/3rd Floor, with verandah(no view). Other than their Regular Superior %26amp; Deluxe rooms(Suites, Family, etc.)...with verandah and view of the ocean.

- Hotel owned restaurant(Mexican)across their hotel- right on the beach(it%26#39;s open to everybody and NOT exclusive to their quests only).

-No pool %26amp; roof top deck.

-Family owned %26amp; managed for over 20 years.

*****************************************************

Both hotels are right across the road from the beach with their own private sunbeds and lounges along the beach.

Jony%26#39;s Mexican Restaurant, Chicken Inasal(serves barbecue chicken, filipino foods,etc.)%26amp; Chill Out Bar ....all beachfront %26amp; next to each other, are located just across from Jony%26#39;s %26amp; Beachcomber.

They are both walking distance(block away)to nightlife like... Ariel%26#39;s House, Club Paraw, Cocomangas and Guilly%26#39;s. Also within the area are the known Andok%26#39;s fast food resto and Jonah%26#39;s Fruit Shakes.

I have personally stayed at Beachcomber and their Honeymoon Suite(even though not a honeymooner...hehehee)and will highly recommend the place and it%26#39;s super staff!

Enjoy Boracay!!! =)

Thank you for your informative reply, librascorpio!

Guess I%26#39;ll go with Beachcomber due to the number of positive comments here in tripadvisor, plus their rates are cheaper than Jony%26#39;s!

You are welcome, pparisienne! I%26#39;m quite sure you%26#39;ll enjoy your stay at Beachcomber... =)

As for their breakfast, last time I was there(Apr./May 2008) they have 5-choices of Filipino Breakfast(rice, egg, plus 1 main course of your choice), 3-choices of Continental Breakfast and 2-choices of American Breakfast. You can pre-order it the night before, and they can either have it deliver to your room, serve it at their pool area, rooftop deck, or right on the beach!

Anything you need...tours, in-room massage plus manicure/pedicure, beach towel, airline reconfirmation, etc......just ask(at their check-in desk)... and they will deliver!(per my experienced).

Have fun, I know you%26#39;ll love Boracay! :)
