Worst Resort - Bita-ug Beach Resort

Bitaug beach resort in Bohol is the worst resort we have encountered. While we were having great time in the beach, they entered our room and moved all our things in other room. Including things of other customers. So we hardly picked up our things because we still need to identify which are ours. Thats only 11am when we get there, and our check out time is 12nn. I talked to the owner her name is Nena. Her reason is because there will be another customer to check in our room. I told her “ You should not do that because its only 11am and it is still our time” and she was very proud to say ';what do u want to do, Ill call a police and I will face you'; . She does know how to take care of their customer. We went there as company group, but we promised ourselves we will never go back to this resort and never recommend to others. She has no etiquette

We read with concern what has been written on the Bohol Forum regarding Bit-ug Beach Resort.



‘Edwinic’ in comments posted on December 10th 2008 was right in that there are two sides to a story.



We have known the couple that run this resort now for 5 years and stayed there and sent our friends there and can only say that it is a lovely little resort, clean and tidy with good service and well managed. We would not hesitate in staying there again nor recommending it to our friends.



The accommodation is in keeping with the concept of being an eco-tourism resort as all buildings are constructed in local materials. Their small but welcoming swimming pool is one of the best on the island.



We understand that ‘Concernpeople’ posted on 3rd December problems with checking out but according to the owner Nina the people stated that they were going off on a boat trip to Balicasag Island and probably would not be back until 2or 3 pm. Nina has a rule, like all resorts on Panglao , that the rooms should be vacated by 12 noon as she had other guests arriving to take over the rooms later in the afternoon. She had a spare room available and just moved the person’s belongings into that room so their room could be cleaned. ‘Concernpeople” should have not told Nina that they would not be back till well after vacation time of 12 noon then this misunderstanding would not have happened.



Nina is always a very polite person and ‘Concernpeople’ are wrong is saying that she has no etiquette nor unprofessional. Ourselves, our various friends-people we have recommended to stay at Bita-ug and others we have met they have all remarked how very friendly, helpful and personal their stay has been at Bita-ug resort from both Nina and her staff.



As with all toursim ventures, one is involved with a variety of guests, each with their individual own expectations and understandings and sadly , very occasionally misunderstandings can innocently happen. Give Bita-ug Beach Resort another chance.

I have no idea as to whos version is right, but I do note that the first and only posting on this forum from globalcritic13 is the one above in defense of the resort owner.



The orginal post states that the confortation with the resort owner took place at 11am which is before the noon checkout time and way before the owners version of when concenPeople was to return.



Had my stuff been removed like this, I am sure the police would of been needed.
