From Palawan to Borneo

Hi, how do we get from Palawan to Borneo without having to fly back to Manila or Cebu? are there any boats we can take? I find that South East Asian Airlines are supposed to fly directly to KOTA KINABALU but it does not seem to go, does anyone know?
