Port Barton to El Nido

I shall be in Port Barton after PP. Is the road rough for the hours of bus from Port Barton to El Nido? Can I take a ferry (overnight the best) from the port Barton or Sabang to El nido? If so, any contact means? Thx

Port Barton to El Nido

Friends,

Today is January 19 Hong Kong time. I came back from PP, sabang, coconut garden resort of cacnipa island, port barton and san vicente hours ago. I may be able to provide some update (info, not advice) for your consideration. I shall monitor the post in the next couple of days. Happy tripping.

Port Barton to El Nido

Hi, Im just back from Palawan. I heard bad reports about the PP Sabang road but I got the bus and was fine @200 peso. (although very overcrowded with people sitting on the roof! But funny) or you can get a tourist aircon van for more. Some of the road is not finished so it gets a bit bumpy. I imagine in the rain it would have been more muddy and tricky!

I stayed in Greenviews Port Barton (see review) and they own a boat and run it as demand requires. So I was lucky enough to go with their boat between Sabang and Port Barton and then on another day from Port Barton to El Nido (where they have a new resort). This meant I got to avoid all the roads between Sabang and El Nido which I imagine are pretty bad and by the sounds of it close sporadically which doesnt help if you are stuck for time!

Id say though make sure if you go by boat that you get a life jacket and that weather hasn%26#39;t been stormy in general but thats just general water safety. I had no problems and was equiped with decent life jackets!
