planning for a vacation to siargao, can anyone help me with my vacation regarding resorts, activities and what to expect. thanks

Siargao is an island east of Mindanao and is part of Surigao Province. It is the best known surfing destination in the Philippines as it faces the Pacific Ocean. They also have beaches and smaller islands to explore. However do not expect high end resorts or accommodations as it is a rural place.

Been there a couple of times, very relaxed island with most locals friendly. Stayed at the oceans 101 resaot where staff are friendly and great resturant attached, over looking the ocean. Short walk to the famous Cloud (crowd) nine surf break. Can be a fickle joint for waves at times. Good place to chill.
