manila airport

hi there everyone,

i understand that Cebu Pacific Air now operates at new terminal at Terminal 3 of NAIA.

As i am new to this terminal, can anyone advise whether it is convenient/easy to get a airport taxi or metered taxi at terminal 3 of arrival hall.

how much would that be for airport taxi %26amp; metered taxi (approximate) from terminal 3 to makati?

also, is this new terminal congested or much better than terminal 1?

any comments is much appreciated.

thanks

It is easy to get a metered taxi. There is a taxi bay at the arrival area. A local representative of the Land Transportation Office or the airport authority will list down on a piece of paper the name %26amp; number of the taxi and he/she will hand it over to you so that if you have any complaints you have all the information you need. Metered taxi rate would be less than 100pesos. Terminal 3 is not congested because it caters only to two airlines - the domestic %26amp; international flights of Cebu Pacific and the domestic flights of PAL Express. It is definitely much better (cleaner, more organized, well-ventilated) than Terminal 1.

Hope this helps...

Outside Terminal 3 arrivals, you will turn to your right and see a queue of people (if it is busy) for the relatively new yellow and red metered taxis, for which you receive a booking slip from a gent at the head of the queue.

These have a higher flagfall (about P70) than normal taxis (about P30) but the per kilometre rate seems the same (very cheap).

Alternatively, there are metered (white) normal raxis out in the street.

Do not confuse the latter with so-called white %26#39;airport%26#39; or %26#39;Avis coupon%26#39; taxis which are in a row between the two other types described above. These %26#39;coupon taxis%26#39; are significantly more expensive: about P600 for a trip to Manila Bay/ Ermita/ Malate versus some P200 for a tellow and red painted taxi to the same area.
