manila hotel

I haven%26#39;t stayed at the Paco Park, and it may depend on what area of Manila you wish to stay in?????, but I generally stay in the Ermita area, and stay at the Duck Inn when I am in Manila.

Its close to everything I need in Manila, and although it would only rate about 3 stars, I have always enjoyed my time there. Costs about 50 Aust dollars a night for a deluxe room.

Another place you might want to try in the same area is the Southern Cross Hotel, prices seem to be about the same as the Duck Inn.

Hostel 1632 in Ermita is clean and new for about $40 USD a night. Small, but nice.

In Makati, you can try A. Venuse Suites. Also, new and affordable, although the shower is small. It runs around $60 USD night with breakfast.

Your selection really should depend on where you want to be and do. Try asiatravel.com for good rates and instant bookings. Their rates usually include breakfast and always include taxes (another 20%) so you know exactly what you are paying before you travel. Try to book NET prices when you book as this includes the 20% taxes already.

Another approach is to book a cheap hotel for a night or two and search the area where you will be for a better deal or location or facility. The options are plentiful and the price range can vary.

I endorse goodpace%26#39;s comments.

www.asiatravel.com is the best booking site, although www.asiarooms.com is not bad.

I prefer Kimberly Hotel in Ermita (close to MRT - rail - one way and Robinsons Place Mall - best shopping centre in Manila - the other, but soundfanz is correct to state that the Southern Cross Hotel is good value and has an excellent bar serving cold beer. The proprietor, an Australian, is also very friendly and sensible.

You will have a great time but remember that the Philippines has loads to do outside Manila, and both Cebu Pacific Air and Super Ferry(ies) offer good internal links to numerous other domestic destinations.

It truly is Asia%26#39;s most underrated holiday destination.

thankyou every-one for your help, i will look at all recommended...........

Casa Bocobo Hotel in Ermita has received one good review and may also be what you are after. It has an Internet site sand is bookable on the www.asiatravel.com site for less than the hotel advertises as its %26#39;published%26#39; rate for a double: )2500 a night on asiatravel; P3000 by booking direct.
