Anybody know Carabao island?

I found this island is 60 mins from boracay,

has not been developped....

I found that only one shuttle boat go from Caticlan, first to boacay, then go to carabao...but it seems every day there are only one boat....

has anyone gone there?

There are trips from Caticlan to 2 points in Carabao Island (one is to Hambil, the other is to Lanas). Back then its 70 pesos, one way, and leave Caticlan Port at 9 am daily.

From Caticlan, it bring the local employees of Boracay, it continue to Hambil and Lanas.

I travelled to San Jose in May 2006 and the same boat will travel back to Boracay/Caticlan the next morning. Travel time is 40 minutes approx.

...went up the mountain on motorbikes

...I remember our boatman..Denis he was from Carabao island (great guy- nice family-great boatman)

..nice place to visit(bring a lunch)

oo...how can I find those boatman from Carabao....should I ask agency in Boracay?

ps...how much does it cost you to rent the boat?

...there are a small number of boatman ..someone will know him

just rent the boat for 1/2 a day

..dont remember what we paid 1500 or 2000 pesos but we spent a day going around..it was fun

..we were also there in low season

depending on weather or currents, sometimes it can be very difficult and very rough getting there. so double check this before you and Gilligan head out, especially if you plan on bring youngsters.

...of course if it is rough or bad weather dont head out.

..remember that a lot of boatman on Boracay are from Carabao and go back and forth

..depending on your comfort level you might want to stick closer to Boracay..and just go around the island
