does anyone know how much the different shuttles and buses cost? how long the drive is? the cheapest places to stay there? coming from san jose terminal in PP. please, thank you.
visiting the underground river
Its been a few years since I did the trip from PP to the Underground River, but it was pretty much an all day excursion. I don%26#39;t recall it being more than $40 PP for the day. The drive is not that far in miles, but the road is really washed out and you need a four x four. The tour of the underground river with transport from the water taxi takes a little over an hour, I believe.
The caverns are really cool and it is a pretty worthwhile trip. You do get to see a bunch of wild monkeys and monitor lizards outside the cave as that is where people often have lunch. Be careful as the monkeys can be a bit aggressive.
