Sun Apartelle

Hallo,

Does anyone of you stayed in Sun Apartelle? My bf %26amp; I are planning to visit bohol soon and we%26#39;ve decided to stay in Sun Apartelle.

We know it%26#39;s a little far (5mins walk) from the beach but the apartelle itself looks amazing it has a kitchen too (in case we like to cook for ourselves) Please let me know if this place worth staying ;-)

Sun Apartelle

I wonder what happened to your trip? It%26#39;s been a year and no feedback.

My fiance and I are planning to do the same (to stay at the Sun Apartelle and perhaps cook fresh fish).

I hope the place still looks as good as the web photos.

I%26#39;ll be posting my review when I get back from my trip.

Sun Apartelle

Hello there,

My bf and I had an amazing 5 days stay in Sun Apartelle. Yes it is 5 minutes walk going to the beach but hey the resort swimming pool was also great. They offer excellent food and cocktail drinks. Friendly staff, great service I should say. Web photos are the same once you arrive.

We already booked our next visit this coming december 2008 and they give 10% discount for repeater guest.

Try Sun apartelle it is affordable and better way to stay.

Hello there Alma!

Just wanted to thank you for your comments regarding Sun Apartelle. My parents (who live in Cagayan de Oro), my sister, her daughter, myself and my 3-yr. old (all living in the Chicago) are planning on visiting Bohol once again next spring - April 2009.

We stayed at the Alona Kew before, but never again!!! You would think that after spending over $1,500 (5 rooms total for 3 nights), they would%26#39;ve treated us descently, but no!!! No wonder they have such a bad rating on Trip Advisor. Everything negative said about them is true.

Anyway, we are thinking of staying at the Isis Bungalows this coming April, but after reading your comments on Sun Apartelle, I am seriously thinking of changing my mind.

Do you think it%26#39;s a good place for us to stay? I am thinking of renting the family suite which sleeps up to 6 adults, but we will only have 4 adults with us and 2 kids (3 yrs. and 12 yrs. old). Or, maybe we could go for a 2-person apartment for my parents, and the 4-person apartment for the rest of us.

My only concern is that they are not right on the beach so no water view. Living in Chicago, it would be nice to see the ocean as much as we can. But, the Sun Apartelle looks so nice!

What would you do? Prices for both Sun Apartelle and Isis Bungalows is comparable.

Thanks in advance for helping this confused person!

You%26#39;re welcome Lani721, I sent you private message by the way.

Hello!

I stayed in Panglao Alona Beach now since 3 years, and I have been in Alona-Kew and ISIS also, but Sun-apartelle has the best price value for money. I started my diving course at Sun-Divers which is located next to reception and since then I come back every year :)

I can recomand Sun-Apartelle to everybody because the managment is renovating every low-season and taking care of the resort very well. This Year they installed new soundproof windows and bought much bigger Televisions. Also the kitchens got complettly renovated. The German owners take really good care of there Apartements and there guests.

The resort is not directly at the beach but thats a big advantage because it is not so noisy in the late night and morning time. At the beach there are many boats leaving for dolphine watching at 6am so that you will wake up for sure, because of the noisy boats. Its just a 5 minutes walk to the beach and the resort has a nice pool and a very tasty restaurant.

Enjoy the diving with www.sun-divers.net which have the most comfortable boats at Alona Beach. A british diving guide (Berry) will show you the most famous underwater animals and will take care about you. I have been there in august 2008 and will be back at dezember again. I have never had a better combination of resort and diving center than this one.

Hi all

We stayed almost 2 weeks in the Sun Apartelle family suite. Overall, we give it a B rating.

It is a decent hotel, with well maintained resort and friendly staff. The biggest headache is that it is too far from the beach. It is actually 450 meters away from the Alona beach. The road to the beach is a 2-way highway, full of motor-cycles, ricshaws, and cars. After a heavy rain (happens frequently), it becomes muddy. We have little kids so we had to take extra care each time going to the beach. It is not a nice leasurely walk as some would expect.

The family suite can sleep 6, 2 in a queen size bed, and 4 in 2 bunk beds. It has a nice covered patio but it is very close to a public bathroom, you can smell it occasionally. The family suite is actually at the back of the resort restraunt which does not hurt but one feels strange. The suite has numerious little problems such as air-con not controllable (one only), sewage backflow in bathroom (really smells), TV placed too high, only 4 out of 13 celling lights working, stove would not light, no water, no hot water, etc. We had to contact the office almost every day to combat those small things. Fortunately, the office did response pretty quickly and those problems usually got resolved within a day.

Overall, we were pretty happy with Sun Apartelle. Maybe it is not the best place to stay with kids, it is a nice choice for a short stay.
