Hi, cheapest resortHello Jeanette!
Thank You for the info but do you have any e-mail Tel nr?
Hi, cheapest resortHi Jeanette, are you Danish??, I am. I was visiting Boracay 1998, at that time it was very cheap. but what is the price level now, f.ex. budget cottage/bungalow close to the beach. And do you know if it is nessesary, to book in advance.
How was your stay in general and how di you get there. I think that Boracay is one of the mos beatiful beaches i ever visitid......... Morten
You don%26#39;t have to pay an absolute fortune to find a decent place to stay. Check out Alyssa Resort for example. They also give discounts on their published prices.

I live in Boracay, and I know of plenty of nice places you can stay on a budget. Some of the more expensive paces are over-rated. You%26#39;ll find that the accomodation is much more reasonably priced in the area south of boat station 3.
Hey Jeannete! Do u have there website? Thanks!
yeah and most of the cheapest resorts (not all - I know excellent ones) do not have fresh water and do not connect to sewerage and burn their garbage at the back and do not respect the environment and are surrounded by mosquitoes and have unprofessional staff etc. etc.... Better stay under the coconuts on the beach if you want the cheapest!
That s the problem with the Philippines: lots of garbage-budget-cheap tourists are coming here while quality tourists go to places like Phuket or Bali whose beaches are way below Boracay%26#39;s white beach.
Good luck indeed!
Instead of going for the cheapest of the cheap (because that%26#39;s exactly what you%26#39;ll get!) it%26#39;s better to pay just a little more and stay somewhere like Alyssa or Dave%26#39;s.
Stay away from travel agents and beach commissioners who claim to be your friend. Most travel agents, have contract rates with hotels that cant be negotiated and you are then stuck with hotel. You can%26#39;t complain to hotel when you paid in MANILA or demand your money back, as HOTEL has to refund (if even possible) back to travel agent...good luck on that. Pay with travel agent, you will be stuck with what you get...pay direct hotel you can deal with them face to face on site....Also, many hotels listed here are honest, have good deals and will even negotiate prices by email...try several and see what happens. I met a Nowegian guy while diving a few months ago who paid twice, I repeat twice what the hotel charges to stay at the hotel. He was upset but who can he yell at, not the hotel, as they provided the promised services and only got paid the regular amount....be wary of travel agents and commissioners, they are in it for themselves and immediate cash....hotels on other hand want repeat business so they will try to meet your needs. This forum is about locating good places, read some of past entries and you will find best deals on island.....good luck
Daer Admiral: A commisioner commissions a service for fee. The fee is he commission and that%26#39;s why they are called here %26#39;commissioners%26#39;. They try to sell room to arriving tourists without booking in advance, stay with them till they arrive, check in and make advance payment, and then they collect their commission, usually 10%. You can find these kind of commissioners all over the Philippines, but tthey are mostly called %26#39;fixers%26#39;.
And Mr. Steinlager: cool down, not all travel agents are semi-criminals. There are very good ones.
Davi Boy you responded to a almost 2 1/2 year old post from Steinlager. I doubt he is still here. Do you even know that. And from what is written here all over this forum and often...from all seem to be in the know like Sirenna. stay clear of commissioners is best advice that is given.
